Introducing Our Handmade Leather Jibun Techo B6 Slim Cover
What the Jibun Techo B6 Slim Actually Is
The Jibun Techo, made by Kokuyo, is a Japanese planner system built around three separate booklets rather than one bound diary:
- Diary — the dated day-to-day planning book
- Life — for long-term records, anniversaries, and bigger life events
- Ideas — an undated notebook for whatever comes to mind
It comes in two sizes, A5 Slim and B6 Slim. B6 Slim is the smaller, more portable of the two, measuring roughly 182 x 112 mm per booklet, and it's the size most people mean when they ask about a "mini" Jibun cover. All three official Jibun Techo booklets are printed in Japanese only, regardless of which cover you use around them.
Why This Size Is Tricky to Cover
Most leather cover systems, ours included, are built around a single notebook or a single well-known planner brand like Hobonichi. The Jibun Techo B6 Slim is a 3-in-1 system, so a cover for it needs to either hold all three booklets stacked together, or you need to accept covering just the one you use most (usually the Diary) and carrying the other two separately.
That distinction matters more than it sounds. It's the difference between a cover that actually replaces the system's included clear plastic cover, and a cover that just protects one book while you leave the Life and Ideas booklets loose in a bag or on a shelf.
The Workaround: Galen's Traveler's Notebook Wallet Insert
We don't make a cover sized specifically for the Jibun system, but our regular size Traveler's Notebook Wallet Insert happens to be a close enough fit for a single B6 Slim booklet. A number of customers have used it this way, most often to cover just the Diary booklet, which is the one that gets carried and opened daily.
| What it's good for | What it won't do |
|---|---|
| Protecting and carrying a single B6 Slim booklet in genuine leather, with the card and cash pockets a wallet insert normally offers | Hold the full 3-in-1 system at once. It's sized for one insert, not three |
| Everyday carry for the Diary booklet specifically, since that's the one most people reach for daily | Replicate the pencil board or pen loop that comes with the official Kokuyo cover |
If you only ever use the Diary booklet day to day and keep Life and Ideas at home, this is a reasonable and genuinely leather solution. If you carry all three together, it won't do the job, and you'll want to look elsewhere for a cover built around the full system.
Actually, we don't have a dedicated cover for Jibun Techo B6 slim size.
But, as stated above, customers reported, our regular size Traveler's notebook wallet insert, compatible with Jibun B6 slim size.
** Please note this cover fits only one insert, not the whole system.
